Print the popcorn bag download onto your white food sacks using your personal computer and printer. Place the tape where desired and gently press the streamers onto it. Secure the streamers to your concession table by rolling up a piece of transparent tape. Just make enough to drape around the edge of your concession table. You don't have to use the whole roll of streamers. Wrap the streamers over each other, creating a loose red and white twist. Tape the ends of the red streamer roll and white streamer roll together. Depending on your home, you may elect to use your dining table or a bar for the stand. Before the party, fill it with bags of popcorn.Ĭhoose a table to act as your concession stand. Excess paper can be folded and taped behind the lips formed by the cut out section. Start on the back side of the box and wrap toward the front, which is cut out. Wrap the outside of the box with red butcher paper. Secure foil with transparent tape if needed. Be sure to cover all sides and the top and bottom. The 4 inch bottom will provide a lip that will keep your bags of popcorn in place. You are cutting a rectangle out of the center of that side of the box. Use the craft knife to cut on the guide lines. Measure and mark 2 inches from the left and right edges of this side of the box. Measure 4 inches up from the bottom of that side and mark with pencil. Measure 4 inches down from the top of that side and mark with pencil. Turn the box so that a side without seams is facing you. This will be a popcorn "machine" which can only be used for storing bagged popcorn. Plug in to see your movie marquee light up.Ĭlose the cardboard box and tape flaps closed with duct tape. Gently hang the sign on the wall by balancing a piece of the Christmas tree light wiring on the thumb tack. Hang your sign by placing a thumb tack on the wall in the desired location. You can remove them and reuse the sign later. If you plan to reuse your marquee, consider using cut out letters and double-sided tape for sticking them in place. Write the name of the movie showing below it. Repeat with the second piece of foam core to make the concessions sign.Īdd the words NOW SHOWING with the black permanent marker to the top center of front of the marquee. Leave enough of the cord available for easy plug-in. Fold any additional unused lights toward the center of the sign and hold in place with more duct tape. The lights will show on the side with red tape. Work the Christmas lights through the holes from the back side of the sign. Hammer the wide nail or tack through the foam core at each pencil mark, creating holes all the way around the red tape. Start at one corner and work your way around, trying to keep the marks centered on the tape. Use the ruler and pencil to mark increments of 2 inches all around the red tape. Just be sure to use the same method all the way around. You may line up the tape with the edges or fold it from the front over the edges. Stick the red tape around the edges of each piece. You now have two pieces - one for the marquee and one for the concessions sign. Cut the foam core board using the craft knife.
